Description

This series consists of three digital collage postcards that explore contemporary social issues through the reinterpretation of familiar visual symbols.

The first postcard is based on an image from the story of Snow White (1937). I replaced the traditional apple with the Apple logo (1977), transforming a classic symbol of temptation into a metaphor for our relationship with technology. On the back, I wrote the phrase, "Ideas devour men," as a reflection on how mobile phones and digital devices shape our attention, influence our thinking, and contribute to human alienation.

The second postcard is a digital collage that combines the image of a serpent with a human head. On the reverse, the sentence, "There are poisons so subtle that we take them for remedies" (Oscar Wilde inspired) invites viewers to reflect on human relationships that may initially seem beneficial or comforting but gradually reveal themselves to be manipulative or destructive.

The third postcard is a digital collage composed of images of women. One of them holds a sign reading, "I did not come from your rib; you came from my womb." This work is inspired by feminism, understood as both a personal way of living and a collective struggle for equality, autonomy, and social justice. Together, the three postcards invite reflection on the ideas, beliefs, and cultural narratives that shape our everyday lives.
