What began as two lovers wanting to send flowers to each other to show their love, but. due to long distance, instead they created photos of flowers they could text daily like postcards. This was the original fleur du jour. My postcards are from that original series of floral portraits. Each flower was

grown in my garden. Each flower is named for its particular personality revealed to me. Each floral portrait represents a hand I held as its hold took bloom. The following are called “Dulcinea,” “Joliet,” and “Ailleurs.”

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
