My work examines the hidden layers of my personal experience of chronic illness: the sensations, limits, measurements, and negotiations that sit, unseen and unstable, beneath my skin. These works question whether a chronically ill body can ever "vacation" as it did before the illness. They document the uncertainty of waking, each day, into a body that may or may not be able to make a fist, climb a staircase, or hold a pen.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
