Project Title: How to Be Uncomfortable? (Postcard Series) Material: Hand embroidery and collage on cardboard

This series of postcards is a continuation of my broader interdisciplinary project, 'What Does It Mean to Be Discomfortable?' The concept arose during a session with my psychologist, where we explored a fundamental human conflict: if I choose comfort for myself, it can cause pain or discomfort to those around me and vice versa. Which path is right? Should we constantly seek compromises or ruthlessly put our own needs first?

I decided to materialise this psychological tension through everyday objects. By default, most objects are designed to serve us and provide comfort. In this project, I intentionally deform them, making them nonfunctional and physically uncomfortable. But what if these objects are simply comfortable in and of themselves? What if, like people, they assert their own identity, boundaries, and character by renouncing blind control?

This prompts viewers to reflect on the nature of comfort, the unspoken compromises we make daily, and the high expectations we place on others and ourselves.
