Nearly twenty years ago, I wrote that I see my art (and art in general) as a synthesis—an attempt, on the one hand, to somehow transcend death, and a fusion of three temporal layers: “yesterday,” “today,” and “tomorrow.” Although my practice has, quite naturally, evolved since those first youthful musings, my understanding of art has, in this sense, remained fundamentally unchanged.
