Reem Baeshen — Correspondances #1

Rooted in documentary photography, my practice has evolved to treat images as fragments of time, heavily incorporating digital edits, handwritten letters, and archival research. For this open call, I am submitting a piece from my collage series, "Dear Eve..."—a project named after Eve, the mother of humankind. While religion and belief are powerful, they can sometimes divide us; through art, we can connect via a universal language. Utilizing self-reflective layers and intimate correspondence, this postcard explores my intersecting identities as a woman, a mother, and a Muslim, turning personal memory into a shared space for human connection.
