Johanna Bath

Johanna Bath (b. 1980, Warendorf, Germany) is a contemporary painter living and working in Hamm, Germany. She studied illustration and design at the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg, graduating in 2007.

Working with oil, acrylic and spray paint, Bath creates atmospheric figurative paintings and still lifes concerned with time, memory and emotional transience. Soft layers and partially dissolved forms give her images the quality of recollection rather than fixed description.
