"A perfect chaos and an eternal conundrum."
This is how Ricardo Reis describes the world he sees throught his lens.
He gained his knowledge of theory and techniques at IPF (Portuguese Institute of Photography) and through several researches and experiments. An internship at the most selling journal in the country opened his path and soon he began to see his work published in major newspapers and magazines./p>
The desire of expanding his line of work led him to a present time where he is now a photographer that holds in his CV album covers, concerts, fashion shows and participations in feature films and music videos as a cinematographer.
"Photography has been the driving force through all my creative pursuits."
He shoots black & white as color films, but finds that color can be distractive to the real intent and emotion he is trying to achieve.
His images are exhibited and collected in and out of Portugal, in the US, in France, UK, Canada, Netherlands.
