Through his work, Ewan captures the emotions and traits of everyday people within his figures through a different lens.
Many of his paintings are intentionally infused with dark humour and cultural satire, focusing on the world he lives in. "Painting people from all social and class backgrounds is a crucial part of my work", he says. He "paints to engage with politics and challenge society". His goal is to make his work as accessible as possible, appeal to the widest spectrum of people.
Ewan's work is already collected all across the globe. After numerous group shows, he recently had his first solo show at Daniel Benjamin Gallery (September 2018).
He is 20 years old, currently in his last year at the University of the Arts London, completing a Fine Art Painting degree.
